Cozy Spring Farmhouse Tour: Decorating for Easter & Spring

Today, we have a spring farmhouse to share. We have Deeanna from Deevine Home Creations sharing her stunning home. Join us as we tour this beautiful, cozy home that is ready for spring.

Hey there, welcome to my home. My name is Deeanna, also known as Deevine Home Creations via Instagram, and I am excited to join Holly on her home tour. So thank you, Holly, for having me again. I'm excited to share my spring home with you.

Welcome sign
Entryway with spring accents

Entryway

We will start with my entryway which has had spring touches added.

I'll be sharing my main downstairs and upstairs areas: my kids' rooms and their homeschool playroom. You will see some Easter still sprinkled in, but I think much of it can fall into a spring category. You'll always see lots of Jesus in my home, always.

Dining room with a spring tablescape

Dining room

This is our dining room. I created a bigger version of this tablescape a few weeks ago for a magazine contest, and I just loved it so much that I thought I would recreate a smaller version for this home tour.

I just really loved this blue color, and I love swans. I always have, so I thought it screamed spring. I put it together again, and I made these little napkin rings by ordering some little figurines on Amazon and then wrapping twine around a ring, and voila, you have a customized napkin ring.

I don't usually do blue in my home, but like I said, I just really loved that blue, and I had named that tablescape Splendid Grace. I think it was fitting for the look and the colors.

So there you have it, there is my dining room. Small and cozy, we love it. A lot of memories are made here.

Living Room

Now, I'm going to head to my living room.

Half bathroom

There is a little hallway here and a small half bath.

I had painted and stenciled these floors about four years ago, maybe a little over, and for the most part, they've held up really well. I love the pattern, and I do recommend it.

Farmhouse-style home decorated for spring

So we just recently did a switcheroo in our living room.

It's been the same layout since we bought the home about 13 years ago, and just a few months ago, we swapped walls for the couch and the entertainment center, and it's really opened up so much space way more than we would have thought. I love the new layout.

Open concept home

As you can see, we have an open concept, and this is a builder-grade home.

We're just slowly trying to update it and make it our own little by little. I still want to do many things, like repaint all the walls, redo the floors, add some beams, and get the countertops white, and those are just a few things on the list. There are several more that I want to tackle, but we're taking it slow and steady.

Fireplace and sofa area

Over here, I'll show a little closer up of the mantel.

These plants are unique. They have a little reservoir built into them, and you only water them once a month. My kind of plants. As you can see, I do love swans.

Green accents in a living room

Also, as you can probably see, I love this green. It's my favorite. I have green doors. I have green pillows. I have green throws. It's my color.

Desk nook

This cute little desk here was one that a neighbor was throwing out, and I saw it out there, and I had to have it. It's just a little desk area in the living room.

Kitchen

So I painted and stenciled the kitchen floor as well, also about four years ago, and again, for the most part, I love it. I would love to change all the flooring here soon and get engineered wood flooring.

Kitchen area

The painted floor is not a long-term fix because I have dropped a couple of pans and things like that, and it doesn't paint.

Stovetop with a peel-and-stick backsplash

I also added a peel-and-stick backsplash.

It's a natural stone peel-and-stick backsplash, which I love. I also painted the door, painted the cabinets, added hardware, changed out the faucet, and so it's been a bit of an upgrade.

Updated kitchen

I love it more now than it was, so that's a plus.

I've got kids, so I don't have a clean and clear refrigerator. We would like to hang the kiddos' artwork there.

Now, I will take you upstairs and show you my kids' rooms and their homeschool slash playroom. I don't believe I've shared my children's bedrooms on this platform before on Holly's home tours.

Little girl's room

My daughter's room

This is my daughter's room. About four years ago, we did a star and moon theme when we turned it into her big girl room.

A kid's room has lots and lots of toys, so you can only get it so clean-looking, in my opinion.

Cherry blossom on the wall

We have had this cherry blossom tree decal since she was a baby. I put that up right before she was born.

She's grown into this room and still loves it, so I don't feel we need to change it anytime soon. It's just such a peaceful feeling room.

Little boy's room

My son's room

This is my son's room. I updated it about a year ago, from the nursery to the big boy room, and as you can see, I went with a travel theme. Airplanes, trains, and that sort of thing with a bit of an industrial rustic feel. I love this room because it's one that he can grow into not having to change anything anytime soon.

The prints are from an artisan that I found on Etsy. This wall is peel-and-stick panels. It was really pretty easy to install. It was a little time-consuming but much easier than installing, let's say, a shiplap peel stick. It's natural wood. They're very, very thin. This wall gives it that rustic feel here.

This map took forever to get up, but I absolutely love it. It's in a gazillion tiny little pieces and made from wood, but I love it, and I love the different tones of wood it has because it ties in all the different woods in here since I have a few different ones.

A lot of the items here are from small shops. I love supporting small shops.

Kids' homeschool room

My kids homeschool/playroom

The last space I will share upstairs, which I don't typically share, is my kids' homeschool slash playroom. It is probably my favorite room in the house. I was so excited to create this space when I did. I think it's probably been three years ago now, maybe longer, maybe four years.

Nooks in a kids' playroom

I created a few different nooks.

So you got the reading nook over here, and toys, a little math, and my husband got me this locker for Christmas to store all of the school books and the crafts in it, so that's been fantastic.

World map on the wall

So we got a little space corner over here and then this huge map, which was wallpaper. It was like a wallpaper mural, and then my sister-in-law had the brilliant idea of taking yardsticks and making them the frame, so we bought several of them, stained them, and made that the frame.

You'll see I've got scripture everywhere. That is the foundation of everything. So you'll see it a lot here and throughout my whole house.
