Today I am going to teach you how to create a basket wall. These gallery walls add a wonderful textural element to nearly all of the spaces in my home!

I have so many tip & tricks that make creating one of these basket walls super easy! The hardest part is finding all of the decor elements to hang and coordinate together.

Too busy to create this right away?! Pin it for later! Pin this project to your favorite craft board on Pinterest and it’ll be waiting for you when you’re ready.

Decorative elements to consider:

  • These gorgeous woven wall baskets are the perfect starting point.
  • This galvanized metal wall hanging would add a fun contrasting texture.
  • I love this vintage wall clock for another textural element.
  • Be sure to have a picture hanging kit handy.

I love the look of mixing & matching a variety of shapes and textures. But, this look could totally be created using just baskets as well! Be sure to scroll down to see other walls in my home where I have exclusively used hanging wall baskets.

Tips for creating a basket gallery wall:

  1. Start by gathering the elements that you want to display on your wall. I have the most success finding decorative items that will work together shopping at second hand and thrift stores.

2. Consider feature elements already in your home like this decorative shelf in my living room that I plan the basket wall around. Do you have a window or item of furniture in the way?

3. Plan your colour scheme. Last year I went neutral throughout the house and took down all of my turquoise decor, replacing it with pops of black. Maybe you have some decorative elements that you could paint to coordinate with your wall?

4. Use this how to create a gallery wall tutorial to lay out and hang your baskets on the wall BEFORE putting any nails into it.

This one is on my front enterance.

I love the combination of wicker and wood!

This basket wall is in my bathroom. All of the baskets were found at various thrift stores over a period of time.

If you love this easy gallery wall project, please give it a five star review and help me share it on Facebook and Pinterest!

What is the best wall hanging kit? All those holes in a wall like swiss cheese.😣

Baskets can be tacked up with command strips or thick double-sided tape available online.

Baskets on the walls in so many rooms fail to look interesting. A few unique baskets in ONE grouping might be a conversation starter. Instead, I think, "Gosh, there are MORE baskets!"
