Dressing Up a Hallway & Small Foyer
Have a small hallway or foyer space? Today I'm showing you how I dressed up a hallway and a small foyer area and gave it the attention it deserved! We often give attention first to the large areas in our homes, so as a result, hallways, landings, and foyers often get overlooked. These areas present perfect spots to get creative in your decor. Treat them just as you would when decorating a room and include elements that warm them up and make them feel special. These spaces you often walk through numerous times a day, so it makes sense to decorate them and make them noticeable.
Dressing Up a Hallway & Small FoyerI started working on these spaces awhile ago and shared this removable wallpaper in the nooks. It really upped the style and fun factor in this small foyer to our bedroom.
Vintage bird prints and blue and white pottery create a vignette on top of this dresser I inherited from my grandparents.
Let's take a look at the hallway portion of this space. It leads from the foyer into our primary bedroom. The pothos plant on the green hutch is a plant I have taken numerous cuts off of to propagate. I believe I've had it for around 15-20 years! It just keeps growing and growing!
The white bench was a recent find on Facebook Marketplace. It's scale was small so it fit in this narrow hallway just perfectly!
I even added curtains to this one window here in the hallway.
You may remember this green hutch project, it was the top of a dining room hutch which I added legs too. It used to be in our dining room.
Another update I did to this space is changing out the lights with a pendant light conversion kit from Lowes. This allowed me to convert recessed can lights into hanging pendants to dress up this space. I followed the directions on the packaging and it was quite an easy project. The shades are sold separately.

I love the idea of a patterned wall at the end of a long hall and your fresh take on flora and fauna. Bringing the outside in has always been a passion of mine.
Love the wallpaper - such a fresh statement.
