Welcoming Fall: A Cozy Farmhouse Tour With Seasonal Decor Tips
Today we have another absolutely stunning farmhouse tour lined up for fall! I’m so excited to share this home with you because it belongs to my friend Lauren from The Mayberry Manor.
You might remember her from the summer when she gave us a tour of her fifth-generation family farm and her newly built home. She’s lived there for a few years now, and I’m thrilled to have her back to show off her fall décor.
Now, let’s get into the tour of Lauren’s home and soak in all the fall inspiration!
Table of contents
Hey there, welcome! I’m Lauren, and I’m so glad y’all are joining us today on the farm.
We’re going to start at the bottom of the driveway, where we’ve got fall in full swing. Bryson and I are the fifth generation to live on Mayberry Farms.
We’re in a newly constructed home, but the land has been in the family for 103 years, so it’s really special to us.
These corn stalks that we’ve decorated with are sentimental—my father-in-law helps me find them every year for our fall décor. I love using items that hold meaning, whether they’re from the farm or passed down through family.
Now, let's head up the drive and take a closer look at our fall setup.
Front Porch
So, welcome to the front porch! I love to decorate seasonally, but like most of you, I’m juggling full-time work, so I try to keep things simple by swapping out anchor pieces each season.
For fall, that means switching up throw pillows, like these red ones that I’ve mixed in with our summer flowers.
And don’t get me started on mums—every year, I try to keep them alive, but I usually hold off until just before Halloween or Thanksgiving to bring them out in full force.
On the porch swing, I’ve used an oversized blanket scarf as a throw this year—an easy and fun way to add a fall touch without spending too much.
And for the pumpkins, I’m all about faux pumpkins because my real ones never seem to last through the season.
Living Room
Now that we're inside, we’ve got the foyer and the staircase with some wicker pumpkins, the living room straight ahead, and from here you can see the kitchen and dining area.
I added a touch of fall décor to the ceiling in this space with a garland I picked up locally. It stretches about six feet, and instead of placing it on a mantel, I wove it around the lantern:
In the living room, I’ve layered in textures to make it feel cozy and warm for fall. I’ve added some throw pillows with fall colors and switched out the throws to bring in some extra texture.
Fun fact: one of these throws is actually a Christmas tree skirt! I love getting creative with what I have.
Our fireplace mantel has some fall touches, but I had to compromise with Bryson about where to hang the TV. I’d prefer to have the décor higher up, but then we’d have issues changing the channel. So, command strips it is for now!
Study
My husband’s study already has a rustic, fall vibe with its barnwood ceiling and vintage farm pieces, so I didn’t have to add much. Just a cozy throw and a fall pillow, and it’s ready for the season.
Kitchen
In the kitchen, I keep things simple by swapping out my usual magnolia flowers for pumpkins, feathers, and antlers.
Above the oven hood, I made a fall wreath from pieces I found at Hobby Lobby.
Dining Room
The dining room is also fairly simple—I’ll switch out the island centerpiece when we host guests.
For now, I’ve wrapped some fall leaves around this birdcage and left the rest as is.
Sunroom
In the sunroom, I added warmth with an extra rug on the table, which I’ll leave through winter.
Half Bath
The half-bath gets a small seasonal touch with fall-scented hand soap—gotta love Bath & Body Works!
Backyard
Out back, we’re still hanging on to summer with our pool, but I’ve made a few fall touches by adding deer antlers to the table décor. And we’ll likely add some mums soon to help with the seasonal transition.
That wraps up the tour! Thank you so much for joining me today, and thanks again to Holly for having me. I hope you have a wonderful fall, and I’ll see you next time!
