Exploring Target's Threshold by Studio McGee Section
While browsing Target’s Threshold by Studio McGee collection, the first standout piece Jenna recommended was a Burgundy Wildflower Arrangement. With deep, rich colors reminiscent of high-end arrangements from Pottery Barn, this piece offers the same luxurious look for only $30.
To be honest, seeing the arrangement in the video, I thought it looked a little cheap, but once Jenna started fluffing the flowers for a more natural appearance, I started to see its potential.
I'm still not sure I'd put this in my basket, but the colors are definitely pretty and I love the idea of a wildflower arrangement rather than orange-brown fall foliage.
Large Cosmo and Thistle Potted Arrangement - Threshold™
Next, Jenna points out the Arched Glass Lanterns, which can serve as stunning centerpieces when filled with candles or dried botanicals.
These lanterns are priced very affordably compared to similar items at Crate & Barrel ($150!). They can be styled in various ways. I really like Jenna's idea of filling the lanterns with orange slices and other fall decor for a table centerpiece.
As winter approaches, you can swap out the orange slices for pine cones for a cozy holiday vibe.
Metal Lantern Black - Threshold™
Fall Botanicals and Textures
Fall is the perfect time to incorporate natural elements into your decor, and Jenna highlights the Golden Brown Faux Hops from Hearth & Hand.
These realistic stems, priced at $15, can be styled on their own in a vase or added to a tray for a cozy touch. Jenna prefers these over more colorful alternatives for earthy, natural tones, but personally, I find these a little too rustic and farmhouse-y.
16" Faux Golden Hops Fall Stems Bundle - Hearth & Hand™ with Magnolia
Jenna also finds a Woven Basket that could be filled with fall florals, blankets, or even a small pumpkin. You could use this in a number of ways. I think I'd use it in a bathroom to store toiletry items or hand towels:
Upright Folio Grass Handwoven - Threshold™
Designer Pillow Dupes
One trend Jenna has been noticing among designers is the use of Floral Print Pillows in earthy tones. She spots a pillow at Target for just $35, a great dupe for designer pillows that typically sell for around $100:
Whether it's a good dupe or not, I'm really not a fan of these brown floral pillows. They look old-fashioned and dull to me.
Oversized Printed Floral Square Throw Pillow Brown/Cream - Threshold™ designed with Studio McGee
Jenna suggests to style the brown pillows with Plush Pumpkin Pillows ( plain or printed), which I guess balances the formal pillows with something more fun, but I think a pumpkin pillow is too far the other way for my taste.
Incorporating Brass Accents
Jenna recommends incorporating Brass Candlesticks to add warmth and elegance to your tablescapes. She loves to mix and match different heights for a layered, sophisticated look.
While thrift stores can be a great source for vintage finds, Target offers modern options at reasonable prices. I agree that these would look great on a dining table:
Set of 3 Aluminum Taper Holders Gold - Threshold™: Metal Unity Candlestick Set, Spring Decor
Wreaths for Every Space
One of Jenna’s favorite finds is a Preserved Magnolia Wreath. With real Magnolia leaves, this wreath gives off a natural, lifelike appearance and is available at a fraction of the cost of similar wreaths from Anthropologie.
Personally, I find the brown leaves a little plain, but I appreciate that the neutral look is very versatile and this wreath would work in most homes:
21.25" Magnolia Preserved Wreath Brown - Threshold™
The Preserved Pampas Grass Wreath is another favorite of hers, offering a soft, fluffy texture. However, all I see when I see this wreath is all the fluff I'm going to have to clean up! This is definitely only for low-traffic areas or to hang on a wall, rather than a door.
Pampas Preserved Dried Wreath Brown - Threshold™
For a durable option, Jenna suggests a Faux Floral Wreath made from a mix of olive, eucalyptus, and Magnolia leaves. Out of the three wreaths she recommends, I prefer this one the most, but it reads more Christmas than fall to me:
Magnolia and Olive Artificial Wreath with Ribbon Brown
Decorative Trays and Vases
Jenna’s eye is drawn to a Woven Tray in a rich chocolate brown. She imagines styling it with faux fall stems and a candle for a cozy and inviting display.
This tray would look beautiful on a coffee table, kitchen island, or dresser, adding a touch of warmth and texture, though in the image below it looks quite small:
Woven Rattan Decorative Tray with Handles Dark Brown - Hearth & Hand™ with Magnolia
She also picks up a Burgundy Floral Arrangement and an Amber Glass Pumpkin, both budget-friendly alternatives to high-end versions from designer stores. These pieces add a warm, autumnal glow to any space and can be styled in various ways to fit your fall decor needs.
Potted Fall Leaf Arrangement in Vase Burgundy - Threshold™ designed with Studio McGee
I try to steer clear of too many pumpkins for fall, but I have to admit that this amber glass pumpkin is beautiful. I love amber glass and this piece looks very classy:
XL Round Glass Pumpkin Figurine Amber - Threshold™
Finishing Touches for the Kitchen
Of course, fall decor isn't just found in the seasonal decor section. In the kitchenware section, Jenna spots a charming Scalloped Spoon Rest (less than $5!) and a Brass & Wood Recipe Box. Both pieces are affordable, functional, and stylish, making them perfect for everyday use or as thoughtful gifts.
I know a spoon rest will definitely come in hand for me this season as well move into cooking cozy soups, stews, and other crockpot recipes, not to mention hosting dinners for Thanksgiving and beyond:
Scalloped Edge Stoneware Spoon Rest Cream - Hearth & Hand™ with Magnolia
I love the recipe box as a gift idea (and very affordable at $20). I would print out a holiday recipe such as sugar cookies and include the ingredients in the box to make the gift extra-special and personalized:
Wood Recipe Box with Metal Lid - Hearth & Hand™ with Magnolia
Jenna also highlights Marble Cake Stands and Marble Trays, which offer a touch of luxury to any room. These versatile pieces can be used for serving or as decorative accents, adding elegance to kitchens, bathrooms, or living spaces.
As much as I love cake, I would use this cake stand as decor. For example, filling it with pine cones and fairy lights.
Marble Covered Dessert Stand Warm Gray - Hearth & Hand™ with Magnolia
8"x12" Footed Marble Countertop Tray Warm Beige - Hearth & Hand™ with Magnolia: Acacia Wood Base, Re
